Tooth-Coloured Fillings

A dental filling is a simple and effective way to repair teeth affected by cavities, minor fractures, or wear. By removing damaged tooth structure and restoring the tooth with a filling, we can prevent further decay and help preserve your natural tooth for years to come.

At Centre Dentaire Zen, we exclusively use composite resin (tooth-coloured) fillings, which are designed to blend naturally with your smile while providing excellent strength and durability.

Why Choose Composite Fillings?

  • Matched to the colour of your natural teeth

  • Mercury-free and aesthetically pleasing

  • Bonds directly to tooth structure for added support

  • Requires less removal of healthy tooth structure

  • Durable and long-lasting with proper care

When Is a Filling Needed?

A filling may be recommended for:

  • Cavities and tooth decay

  • Small chips or fractures

  • Worn areas caused by grinding or erosion

  • Replacing old or damaged fillings

Caring for Your Fillings

To help your fillings last as long as possible:

  • Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste

  • Floss every day

  • Avoid chewing on hard objects such as ice or hard candy

  • Attend regular dental examinations and cleanings

Some sensitivity to hot, cold, or pressure may occur after treatment and typically resolves within a few days or weeks. If discomfort persists, please contact our office.

Do Fillings Need to Be Replaced?

Over time, fillings can wear down or develop leakage around their edges. During your regular dental examinations, we monitor existing fillings and will let you know if repair or replacement is recommended.
